Dear Prospective Maryland Foreign Teacher:

The Maryland State Department of Education has instructed you to take ACTFL proficiency tests as a part of your application for Foreign Language teacher credential. For the most current information on test requirements for the specific teaching license you are seeking, please visit their website athttp://www.marylandpublicschools.org/MSDE/divisions/certification/certification_branch/. For information about ACTFL proficiency assessments, the application process and testing procedures, please read the MD FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHER - ACTFL Proficiency Assessments Brochure, available through the links below. After reading through the brochure, you may download the appropriate applications and forms to mail or fax to us, and/or apply directly on line.
