ACTFL’s 2017 C.A.R.D. INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The ACTFL Center for Assessment, Research and Development (CARD) invites applications for its Internship Program.  ACTFL’s mission is to provide vision, leadership and support for quality teaching and learning of languages. As such, this internship is designed as a pathway to the profession; its goal is to help recipients (1) explore the field, (2) develop professional & academic skills, and (3) accumulate experiences that will serve as the foundation for future leadership roles.

Recipients will be invited to co-construct their learning goals in collaboration with ACTFL staff; however, examples of learning opportunities include:

  • Preparing materials for use in research studies
  • Conducting and authoring literature reviews
  • Performing statistical analyses using software applications
  • Performing thematic or other qualitative analyses
  • Contributing to the development of assessment instruments
  • Contributing to the development of workshop materials
  • Editing and proofreading reports
  • Transcribing interviews
