Dear Government Student,

You have been directed by the Department of Government (RSU) at Regent University to take an ACTFL® Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI)® to demonstrate that you meet the Department’s language requirements for your major. Students must test at or above the Intermediate-Low proficiency level in the language of their major. If you have any questions regarding this language requirement, please contact Jen Mullen, Government Academic Advisor, at (800) 722-3680 ext 4882.

The Department of Government’s language requirement must be met in order for you to begin completion of the Department’s capstone requirement. Specifically, you MUST achieve the acceptable proficiency level before registering for GOVT 491, the first course in the Government capstone requirement.
