Only Language Testing International offers the world-renowned ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages) language proficiency testing method and rating system.The test and rating guidelines are the products of more than forty years of work within the U.S. government and academia. The assessment program is recognized by the Interagency Language Roundtable and the American Council on Education.

The reliability of the ACTFL test has been researched and supported by validity studies.
